PlayBox writer Nana-Kofi Kufuor reads his latest work as part of Box of Tricks’ day-long takeover. Kofi is a writer from Stockport whose style of writing comes from his experiences growing up in Stockport with Ghanaian parents. He writes plays about working class people, the people who mainstream media forget about or villainize.
PlayBox is a year-long writer-on-attachment programme with Box of Tricks offering bespoke residencies and support to three early career North West playwrights.
Box of Tricks is a Manchester-based theatre company that champions the next generation of playwrights, producing top quality new plays on local and national stages.
