Aperture: Asia & Pacific Film Festival

Now — 14th September 19
Aperture is a UK film festival dedicated to screening some of the boldest, most daring, challenging and striking films from the Asian and Pacific regions, focusing particularly on underrepresented areas of cinema. Aperture seeks to present a stronger platform for cinema from the Asian and Pacific regions, celebrating emerging and established talent alike, bringing some of the freshest new independent Asian films alongside classic titles to UK audiences. Discussions around diversity, cultural identity and multiplicities of identities within Asia and the Pacific are at the core of Aperture’s curatorial philosophy. Aperture launched in 2018 and was founded by Sonali Joshi. The festival is presented in partnership with Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM), University of Westminster, with CREAM Co-Director May Adadol Ingawanij as Festival Consultant.
